Graduate Visa

The Temporary Graduate (subclass 485) Visa allows international students to live, study and work in Australia once they have completed their studies.

The Graduate Visa is available to eligible international students and includes the following streams: Graduate Work Stream, Post-Study Work Stream, Second Post-Study Work Stream and Replacement Stream.

Eligible students are required to have graduated with qualifications or a degree from an Australian institution.

Student Visa (Subclass 500)

This visa allows international students to study full-time at an approved educational institution in Australia.

  • Applicants must be at least 6 years of age.

  • Evidence of English language proficiency is required.

  • Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC) must be maintained for the full duration of the stay.

  • The visa is typically granted for the length of the enrolled course, up to a maximum of 5 years.

Student Guardian Visa (Subclass 590)

This temporary visa is for parents, guardians, or eligible relatives providing care and support to a student visa holder under 18 years of age (or over, in exceptional circumstances).

  • Visa duration generally aligns with the student’s course.

  • Applicants must be financially capable of supporting themselves and the student during their stay

Training Visa (Subclass 407)

This temporary visa allows individuals to undertake structured workplace-based training or professional development in Australia.

  • Designed for skill enhancement in the applicant’s current occupation, area of expertise, or field of study.

  • The visa is generally granted for up to 2 years, based on the approved training program’s duration.
